Do you ever get one of those moments where you realize that something that for years you thought was pretty decent, like a character design or a story idea suddenly seem just plain wrong or stupid? You have a huge desire to revamp, redesign, and overall think over ideas that you might not have bothered to try to change before. Or just feel they need an extra boost of some kind?

But at the same time, you feel that your creative skill isn't good enough to work with what your brain is giving you, or you are simply just too tired to deal with this overload of ideas?

Or, even worse, you have other things that you should really be paying attention to. Like analytical papers and readings. Because you decided to stay in school, instead of going out into the woods to some camp all summer like you will most likely be doing next year, even though you would much rather have a job in town....

....yeah.....I'm a bit flabbergasted. Not quite sure what to do at the moment. I mean, I am a fast reader/writer/drawer, so I might be able to juggle creativity with academics, but knowing me, I'll just bog myself down and get very, very stressed and cranky.


Well. I'm going to try to stay positive and hope that this doesn't happen. I think I am just tired at the moment, and needed to do a little ramble.  Even if it hasn't really made feel all that better.


Don't worry about me folks, most of you will probably ignore this anyway. I am just probably go to bed soon anyway, things will be better in the morning. More than likely, one can hope.

EDIT: I really didn't realize that people would be so freaked out at the idea of me revamping some of my characters. Seriously, when I say revamp, I usually don't mean change the character completely, just costume and character designs will be changed slightly but not in an extreme way that they will look completely different (at least, one will hope they don't look completely different) also, their backstories are a lot more developed and you will probably see more of that, possibly, if I ever have the time.

-Quillan Penn (not that much, I am still not content with the design of her coat, so if it seems different, it is because I am trying to get a style that works)
-Coquetta (found a dress that just screamed this character, I have already doodled a human version of her in the dress, so I'll try to draw normal automaton Coquetta in the dress and see if it's any better than the dress I usually draw her in. Don't think of it as a redesign, this is Coquetta we are talking about, just think that the girl has simply added a new dress to her wardrobe!)

Stories I plan to completely revamp or only tweak slightly:

-Jenna Spectre story (So. Many. Changes. No longer a trilogy possibly, might just focus on one story arc.)
-Crooked Town (not THAT much, no flailing of arms and panicking)
-Butler Tales (this never really had a concrete story to begin with, these will probably still remain short stories at the most)
-Chitty (still working on making a backstory that gets her out of any fandom, and that it WORKS. Have already moved her into the same story realm of Quillan Penn)



There. That is only like.... 16 characters, and 4 stories.  

That isn't all that much now is it?

I won't explain exactly what I want to each character/story because that will take too much time, and trust me, I am sure that the changes won't be as extreme as some of you might be thinking.  Especially with the character redesigns, it won't be that extreme!


Now, I shall sit back and see if you all either calm down, or freak the hell out. Either way, you probably won't be seeing much of these changes anyway, I have other things to be worrying about. I have a paper coming up by the end of the month and another due the week right after.
